Golden Eaglets Defeat Mexico 4-2, To Play U-17 Final Against Mali.

Nigerian Golden Eaglets continued their impressive
run at the ongoing FIFA U-17 World Cup as they
defeated Mexico 4-2 to advance to the final of
the Championship. The Mexican team got the first
goal of the game 7 minutes into the game through
Magana, before Kelechi Nwakali got the equalizer
in the 35th minute.

Young player Orji Okonkwo put the Golden Eaglets in
front just before the half time break with a well-taken
free-kick as the Eaglets ended the first on a high note.

The Mexicans increased the tempo of the game in the
second half and were rewarded when D. Cortes’s shot
found the back of the net. Osinachi Ebere restored
the Golden Eaglet’s lead before Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen
made it 4 with a penalty to take his goal tally to 9 goals
in the 2015 U-17 World CUP Championship in Chile.

Nigeria will now face Mali in an all African Final on
Sunday.
