Sad! Pakistani Woman Dies After Being Set Ablaze By Ex-lover For Rejecting Marriage Proposal.

A 20 year old Pakistani woman, Sonia Bibi, died after
a rejected suitor set her on fire for refusing his
marriage proposal. She was admitted to a hospital last
month, where she told police that her former lover
had doused her with petrol and set her alight for
turning down his proposal. Sonia Bibi is pictured above
on October 23rd. Medical staff had originally thought
she would recover from her injuries.

The incident took place in a remote village of Multan
district in central Punjab province. About 45 to 50 per
cent of her body had been burned in the attack.
Her injuries became infected and ultimately killed her.
Police have since arrested a 24 year old suspect.
